The city of New York is located in the northeast of the United States and it is the third most populous state in the country. New York weather has many shapes. It all depends on where you are. Albany

Albany is the capital of the state of New York and it is located in the upstate region. The climate in Albany is humid continental. The winters are snowy and cold while the summers are hot and wet. The coolest month is January which sees an average low of 14.5 Fahrenheit (9.7 Celsius). January is also the snowiest month with an average of 18.6 inches every year. Buffalo

Buffalo is located to the west of New York State and it is one of the coldest cities during the winter in the state of New York. Syracuse

The city of Syracuse is located near the middle of the state in Onondaga County. It is also the fifth city in the state of New York when it comes to population. Lake Placid

The village of Lake Placid is located in Essex County in New York. It is one of the places in the state with the highest elevation as it is located in the Adirondack Mountains. The town elevation is 1,801 feet (549 meters) and that makes it one of the coolest in the state. Lake Placid gets a lot of snow every year and that is what made it the perfect place to host the winter Olympics back in 1980. New York City

New York weather when you visit the city of New York is humid sub-tropical and the summers tend to get hot and muggy.
